Homework Week 2

Homework Week 2: Flipped Teaching and 21st Century Learning

Watch:  Flipped Classroom Why do it?  (3:27)

Theme:  Technology for learning.... where does it fit, how does Bloom's taxonomy fit in?
Let's expand our thinking by watching a few videos and reading some posts.   

All this is due on Thursday by 5 pm (9/10/15).  Blog Posts 3 & 4 (will be your evidence)
and Step 1 will be the reading/watching

1.  Read/Watch EVERY link below.  (it's  about 30 minutes of video).

2.  After watching create a blog post entitled:  Learning with Technology
 In that post:   Share your observations/understanding/connections.  
Which of the videos or posts really resonated with you? 
Here are some ideas, you can do a paragraph (or two) for each question (or come up with your own themes). 

  • what statements seemed logical? tainted? realistic? critical?  
  • re-watch one video that you wondered about, and share three observations, questions, or concepts from it.  
  • Think and write a paragraph about how Blooms Taxonomy connects with these educational philosophy videos.  
  • Do you see these questions, philosophies, or concepts fitting into your biblical worldview? why or why not?
Grading Look fors:
  • shares facts or concepts from at least 3 sources. 
  • discusses one video in depth.  
  • One or more paragraphs explains how Blooms Taxonomoy of thinking connects to education.  
  • Where do these educational philosophies fit with your biblical worldview?  why/how?  
  
3.  Write a 2nd post:  Title: Blooms: What I think and What I wonder (about learning and teaching with all this knowledge of Blooms, PBL, engagement, flipped classroom), .... and what questions do you have.    If you have time, google a question, and share a result, or share something that you think I should know about!

Grading look fors:   what do you think, what wonders, concerns, questions do you have?
